According to the Commissioner, the proactive maintenance and inspection exercise is to enable the Ministry to assess the condition of equipment, facilities, and ongoing projects, ensuring they’re on track to provide sustainable water management, adequate water supply, and top-notch facilities for communities across Delta State.

“I’m impressed with the level of Work done in all the projects. It’s not just about how beautiful the work is. It’s the availability of quality that matters after all.

All thanks go to H.E. Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for remembering these communities and as you can see clearly these jobs are spread around communities with real need for water.

I want to urge the communities to own these water projects, maintain & manage properly because it belongs to you at the end of the day. The Governor or even I would not come here every day to fetch water.”
We’re committed to promoting the M.O.R.E AGENDA of His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, particularly the first agenda focused on Meaningful Development for all our people. By prioritizing proactive maintenance, we’re contributing to this vision and ensuring our communities receive the best possible services”.

Residents of the benefiting communities expressed their thanks and gave prayers to the Governor of Delta State as they highlighted that these water projects have been running continuously since completion and have helped reduce to the barest minimum the everyday struggle to get Potable Water even as some had to go as far as river Ethiope or even pay to get water in the past.

Features of The Projects:

  • Solar Hybrid Power system
  • Mini Treatment plant
