Tebu Community is one of the adjoining communities that makes up the Olero field communities, a cosmopolitan of oil producing communities in Warri North LGA of Delta State.
Recall the Olero field communities wrote a letter to His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori over the need for potable water and power supply in the region and the listening governor has swoop into action providing first potable water for Tebu community with other communities to follow.
Addressing the community during inspection, the Honorable Commissioner for Water Resources Development, Hon. Dr. Isaac Wilkie expressed satisfaction with the level of job done as the pleaded with the communities to own and protect the scheme and all other government projects in the region.
As we strive to achieve His Excellency’s mandate to ensure The M.O.R.E. AGENDA is felt in the nuke & crannies of Delta Sate, I’m here today in company of my team to inspect the ongoing rehabilitation of this water scheme.
The thorough inspection exercise we carry out in the Ministry of Water Resources Development is to ensure all jobs are carried out in line with best practices to ensure efficient and sustainable projects.
This is only the beginning of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori ‘s intervention in the Olero Creeks providing Potable Water for various communities in the region.
As one who grew up in these Creeks, I understand the challenge to be surrounded by so much water but find drinkable water hard to get.
I therefore want to join my voice with all from the Olero Creeks in appreciating His Excellency for graciously approving this.
